Don't we have any sane people who want to be President?

Santorum Shuns Own 2012 Slogan

HP Main - Germond Santorum

Conservative former Sen. Rick Santorum has said he had "nothing to do" with his own campaign slogan, "Fighting to make America America again," after announcing on Wednesday that he was forming a committee for a possible presidential run. Santorum backed away from the phrase after learning that it was from a poem by Langston Hughes, an African American Communist who advocated for civil rights and social justice. Many of Hughes' poems defended gay rights, and some were homoerotic, which may explain why Santorum has disassociated himself from the slogan. In 2003, then-Senator Santorum equated homosexuality with incest. "If the Supreme Court says that you have the right to consensual [gay] sex within your home, then you have the right to bigamy, you have the right to polygamy, you have the right to incest, you have the right to adultery," he told the Associated Press.
