Counterfeit Money Minter Convicted

CS - Conterfeit Money
He probably can't pay his bail in “Liberty Dollars.” A North Carolina man was found guilty of minting his own currency and distributing it throughout the United States and Puerto Rico, activity the U.S. Attorney called “a unique form of domestic terrorism.” “While these forms of anti-government activities do not involve violence, they are every bit as insidious and represent a clear and present danger to the economic stability of this country,” added U.S. Attorney Anne Tompkins. Bernard von NotHaus, 67, is the founder of an organization called the National Organization for the Repeal of the Federal Reserve and Internal Revenue Code, also known as NORFED, and Liberty Services. He's been minting the coins since 2005, and apparently has quite a lot of them: he's been ordered to hand over 16,000 pounds of Liberty Dollars and precious metal valued at $7 million. Oh, and he also faces up to 25 years in prison.
