It opened with a reverent tribute to Aretha Franklin, featuring Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Hudson, Yolanda Adams, Martina McBride and Florence Welch,
a diverse cast that offered a cross-section of the current music industry honoring a woman whose very name conveys musical credibility.
P.S. I loved the performance of Mick Jagger too!
My favorite Grammy moment was the Nora Jones, John Mayer, Keith Urban accapella rendetion on Joleen.
ReplyDeleteJohn Mayer was not the noted cocksman but a gifted guitar player. Keith urban wasnt Nicole Kidmans Husband he was a kick ass musician and Nora Jones Was.....Nora Jones. It was a vivid reminder that music can be as flashy as a Lady GaGa production or as simple as 3 gifted performers with nothing else than their instruments and voices
