Joe Miller: 'I Lied' at Former Job
So this is what Joe Miller has been hiding. Newly unsealed records pertaining to the GOP's nominee for the Senate in Alaska show that while he was working for the Fairbanks North Star Borough, Miller improperly used three government computers and then tried to cover up his activities by clearing the caches.
Miller was caught, admitted there was "no excuse" for his actions, was suspended for three days, and referred to an employee assistance program. "I lied about accessing all of the computers," the records show Miller writing in an email at the time.
Miller has been dodging questions about his time at the borough—which he doesn't list on his campaign website—for his entire campaign. He previously admitted only to using the computers to participate in a private poll "for about five minutes."
